You think it was a proposal on a private boat tour in Paris ?
This was not a proposal on a private cruise in Paris
Cecile wanted something surprising on a private luxury boat on the Seine in Paris. And why not have dinner during a private boat tour in Paris, as they lived in the Netherlands?
She surely had something to celebrate?
ouiii!!!!
The announcement of a happy event!
and a few months later …. we received a nice birth announcement – Emotions ….
Our boat ? a private barge ?
We are often told in french … “your private barge for a cruise on the Seine in Paris is nice!”
A barge is not for the transport of goods or a house ?!
Our Vlet has a better look, isn’t it?
Elegant, very stable thanks to its 12 tons of steel, we can dance, welcome grandmothers and babies on board for a private cruise in Paris or a private dinner cruise on the Seine river.
It took Philippe 12 days to bring the boat back from the North of Holland through the canals. Fortunately, friends and family took turns to accompany him! After a break in Compiègne, we started the last straight line …. not really straight line … it took us 2 days to reach Paris (1h by train) …
And yes! the Seine takes its ease and detours.
Marriage proposal on a private cruise on the Seine in Paris
What more beautiful place to propose, to say words of love and to experience a special moment together? I'll take care of everything, and all you have to do is let yourself be carried away. In total intimacy, as if you were alone in the world, you'll create memories for a lifetime. You can dine on the Seine or enjoy a cocktail on our private barge in Paris. I love the light in the late morning when everything is still calm. There's a moment of voluptuousness and the rest of the day to enjoy this state of grace.

The statue of Liberty
A short guided tour of Paris: the Statue of Liberty was offered by France to mark the bicentennial of the independence of the United States.
On the day of the inauguration in New York, Eiffel, the architect, was present, as well as the boiler workshop that cast the statue, a company from Lyon. An essential element of the success of the work but nobody pays attention to him…
How to catch the attention of these Americans? Mr. Gaget, the owner of the boiler works, asked himself.
He made dozens of miniatures of the Statue of Liberty made. At the inauguration, everyone asked for this little object. The first promotional object in history!
Did you have your “Gaget”? the guests asked to identify the thing.
With an American accent, it sounds like a “Gadget”. This word became part of the marketing vocabulary in French and English!
What discoveries during a cruise in Paris!
To each his own cruise
A family outing in Paris that everybody can enjoy !
Grandma admires the gargoyles of Notre Dame.
Victor the son-in-law recalls with his nephew the memorable parties at the Faust under the Alexander III bridge.
Denis talks about “Bordeaux wine” with Philippe the captain.
But where are the boys Baptiste and Clément?
In their improvised cabin, at the front of the boat.
To everyone the pleasure of being on the water!
The ideal family outing, for a birthday party or a dinner cruise, any occasion is good!
Cruise in Paris for homeless people
We wanted to share this luxury moment of a cruise on the Seine river with those whom life has not spared.
This time, we collaborate with the association of the Mie de Pain whose mission is oriented towards emergency housing and insertion.
Today, it is a group exclusively of women that we welcome on board Seine Privée.
After a moment of adaptation, for each of us, the conversation starts and the movements on the boat become more assured.
Noemie takes off her coat. “She feels safe,” Brigitte, a social worker from the association that accompanies them, murmurs to me.
What a joy to see them taking pleasure in contemplating the most beautiful monuments of Paris, enjoying the sunshine while forgetting the hard reality of their lives for the time of a cruise.
It was a timeless interlude for them and a nice moment of sharing for us.
She had just turned eighteen...
To be 18 years old in 2021 in the middle of the Covid epidemic is not easy…and yet her mom organizes for her with her friends a dinner cruise on the Seine with champagne, an incredible birthday party in Paris!
A moment she will remember all her life!
The highlight of the evening …
Philippe approaches her and surprises her with flowers…
She exclaims with great emotion:
“It’s the first time that a man offers me flowers ….”
